In-person engagement through public meetings or street interviews remain a key channel to ensure broad and inclusive participation from the community. Yet, the process of note-taking and processing results is still very manual and time-consuming. ECHO supports capturing insights from conversations through phone recording, auto-transcription , and auto-generation of meeting reports with key insights.

Integrating ECHO into your Go Vocal Platform

Currently integration of ECHO insights into your Go Vocal platform is a manual process described below for a few different use cases. As we grow towards more adoption of this tool we aim to make this integration smoother. Your feedback will guide this development !

  1. Citizen assemblies: Usually as a 1 day event, you can upload a screen shot of the QR code into your event description so that users can easily use it to participate on the day or to collect verbal information before the day in the form of an online voice survey

  2. Offline ideation phase: you can use ECHO to get insights and ideas from offline discussions such as street interview/door to door interview/or in-person workshops. Insights from each conversations can then be added manually to the your Go Vocal platform using the excel input uploader as new ideas. These can then become options to vote on for example.

  3. Offline survey phase: You can use ECHO to reach users that would normally not participate online and get insights to your survey questions. You can then add Insights from each conversations manually to the your Go Vocal platform using the excel input uploader.

ECHO and multilinguality

The Dembrane interface can be used in 5 main languages: English, German, french, Spanish and Dutch. You can simply choose your language by pressing the settings icon in the top right corner.

When recording dialogue with ECHO, the tool can recognise all languages of which data is available on the internet. You can also have dialogues in multiple languages.
