What is ECHO by Dembrane?

ECHO is a voice recording and auto-transcription tool that helps capture insights from public meetings, interviews, or citizen assemblies. It turns spoken conversations into written transcripts and summary reports.

Use cases include:

  • Street interviews or workshops

  • Citizen assemblies and public events

  • Voice-based surveys

How to integrate ECHO with you govocal platform?

You can manually transfer ECHO insights into your Go Vocal platform using the Excel input importer.

Common use cases:

  • Citizen Assemblies:

    Add a screenshot of the ECHO QR code to your event description to collect pre-event or live input.

  • Offline Ideation:

    Record insights from door-to-door or workshop conversations and import them as new ideas into Go Vocal via the Excel input uploader.

  • Offline Surveys:

    Use ECHO to capture answers to survey questions from in-person participants, then manually add them to your project phase using the Excel importer.

How to access and setup your ECHO account?

  1. Contact support via the chat bubble on your Go Vocal platform.

  2. Provide:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Email (use a shared one if multiple users need access)

  3. You’ll receive an email from Dembrane with login credentials.

  4. Visit https://docs.dembrane.com to learn how to use the interface.

This tool is available to:

  • All clients (purchase required for unlimited use)

  • Premium clients (free trial: 1 project/year, 20 hours of recording)

Multilingual support in ECHO

ECHO supports multiple interface and transcription languages.

  • Interface languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch

  • Speech recognition: Supports all major languages found online

  • Translation options: Transcripts can be translated into EN, DE, FR, ES, or NL

  • Other target languages available on request

How to report issues regarding ECHO?

Get support for ECHO either from within Dembrane or via your Go Vocal support team.

  • To report bugs:

    Use the “Report an issue” button under the settings icon in your Dembrane account.

  • For general support:

    Use the chat bubble on your Go Vocal platform or email support@govocal.com
