What is the report builder?

Allows platform administrators to generate, customize, and share reports with platform/project data.

  • Provides clear, visual, tailored reports for colleagues or community

  • Pulls data from ideation projects, surveys, and visitor insights

  • Supports both PDF sharing and mobile-friendly phase reports

Types of reports

You can find reports in the Reporting tab in the back office, these are what we call platform reports. You can also create reports directly from an information phase, which we refer to as project or phase reports.

⚠️ Platform reports and project reports are separate. Platform reports can't be added to a project, and project reports can't appear in the Reporting tab.

Platform Reports:

Platform reports are available to admins only and provide an overview of platform-wide data, including:

  • Visitor and registration metrics

  • Demographics (age, gender, location)

  • Project-level activity

By default, Community Monitor reports are included here. To learn more about the Community Monitor feature, see our article:

Project Reports:

Project reports are created within a specific project, during a Share Information phase.

They can be made visible in the front office, allowing you to share results directly with users.

Data grouping

Use data grouping to break down survey results by different segments, helping you uncover patterns and insights across different groups of participants.

You can group your survey data by:

  • Registration fields (age, gender, location)

  • Survey answers (group responses to one question by how people answered another question)

Examples:

  • See how different age groups answered a specific question.

  • Compare results by gender to spot differences in opinions.

  • Analyze how people who answered "Yes" to Question 1 responded to Question 5.

This lets you answer questions like:

  • “Do younger participants rate our service differently than older ones?”

  • “How do people from different cities respond to our key questions?”

  • “Does answering ‘Yes’ to Question 3 correlate with higher satisfaction scores?”

💡 Grouping helps you find trends and correlations that might be hidden in the overall data.

ℹ️ Access to this feature depends on your plan.

How to add AI in your report?

  • AI tab summarizes open text survey questions or phase inputs

  • Select project + phase → AI summary appears → drag summary into report

⚠️ References shown in AI summary don’t carry over to the final report block.

How to export and share your report?

Attach PDF to a Share Information phase.

  • Go to a Share information phase > Report > Toggle Visible

or

Share PDF manually
